Marjan Varzandeh
Civil Litigation Attorney
Marjan Varzandeh has a strong background in civil litigation, with experience in unlawful detainer, small claims, and complex commercial cases. Based in Southern California, she combines hands-on courtroom experience with a thoughtful and careful approach to motions and case strategy, allowing her to effectively represent clients across a range of disputes.
Before joining the team at Putterman Law, Marjan has managed cases from start to finish, including drafting and arguing motions to quash, motions to dismiss, and other dispositive motions, along with preparing supporting filings. Her work has led to favorable results, including pre-trial dismissals and successful judgements, giving her a strong, practical understanding of dispute resolution.
In addition to her courtroom experience, Marjan has worked on complex commercial litigation matters involving corporate disputes. Her work has included drafting discovery motions, assisting with trial preparation, supporting depositions, and conducting in-depth legal research and document review, including matters related to federal investigations. This experience has provided her with a well-rounded perspective on litigation strategy and case development.
Marjan also brings experience supporting legal and business operations, including work in contract analysis, corporate structuring, and compliance. This background allows her to approach matters with a practical understanding of both legal and business considerations.
Marjan earned her J.D. from the University of California, Berkeley, School of Law, and her B.A. in Political Science from the University of California, Los Angeles. She is licensed to practice law in California and is fluent in both Farsi and Spanish.
